Ever since the dawn of mankind, humans honour the deceased with graves and monuments. These accompany the departed on their Final Journey and help family and friends to remember the beloved ones they have lost.

 

For all of us, moments of farewell cause suffering and emptiness, but these very moment can also be a source of awareness, contemplation and devotion.

A beginning and an end;

the great gift of Life and - for the faithful - the salvation and homecoming;

the end as a new beginning.

 

These thoughts have induced me to extend my sculpture activity to the funerary art.

 

My offer ranges from individual manufacturing of grave stones as works of art to maintenance and restoration of old and new gravesites.

 

My seminal concern is to ensoul unique and irreplaceable gravesites using lines, shapes and matter, in order to honour and commemorate the history, the deeds or character traits of the departed.
